Socialist Takeover Accelerates as Dems Too Terrified to Fight Back

Liberty Check

  • Democratic establishment paralyzed as radical socialists flood primaries with anti-American candidates
  • Far-left insurgents backed by NYC mayor Zohran Mamdani threaten long-serving moderates in safe Democrat districts
  • Bizarre candidates with scrubbed social media histories expose Democrat party’s dangerous lurch toward extremism

The Democrat Party has a crisis on its hands — and they’re too afraid to stop it.

Democratic Socialists are flooding the party with money, energy, and a dangerous crop of anti-American, anti-capitalist candidates who despise our nation’s founding principles. These radical challengers are exploiting voter concerns about the economy and rising prices, winning in deep-blue strongholds like Manhattan, but they represent a long-term catastrophe for Democrats seeking national relevance.

The hard truth? Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her Democratic Socialist allies will never reach the Oval Office.

Establishment Democrats like Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer understand this reality perfectly. Yet they’re paralyzed by fear — terrified of confronting radicals like New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani because challenging the far left means risking a primary challenge from even more extreme candidates.

So instead of defending their party, they’ve left the door wide open. They’ve surrendered without a fight.

Democrats believe they have momentum heading into the fall midterm elections. The President’s approval ratings have declined, gasoline prices hover around $4 per gallon, and the party establishment thinks they can reclaim Congress.

But as the far left invades, long-serving Democrat legislators are being pushed aside by increasingly offensive candidates with shocking histories. Take Darializa Avila Chevalier, who has publicly denounced former President Joe Biden as a “rapist” and “war criminal,” proclaimed the United States a “f**king disgrace” on social media, and posted “f**k Kamala Harris” for good measure.

Chevalier — who has also attacked Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez — is now a serious threat to oust five-term Congressman Adriano Espaillat in New York’s 13th Congressional district.

Her platform? Close all prisons. Legalize all drugs. End U.S. military support for Israel. Her record includes a deplorable history of racist remarks.

The only reason anyone takes this candidate seriously is her endorsement from Zohran Mamdani. New York’s Democratic Socialist Mayor shocked the party establishment by backing Chevalier over the head of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.

The seat is rated “Solid D” by Cook Political Report, but a Chevalier victory would further erode moderate Democrats’ already tenuous control of their party.

She’s not alone. As the midterm approaches, Democrats hoping to capture the Senate are pinning their hopes on candidates like Graham Platner in Maine, Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan, and James Talerico in Texas.

Platner and Talerico have both frantically scrubbed embarrassing social media histories in desperate attempts to reinvent themselves. In the internet era, the past is thankfully hard to erase — and disavowing something you said five years ago just because it complicates your campaign isn’t convincing.

Platner has been forced to distance himself from vulgar posts on a now-deleted Reddit account that made light of sexual assault and featured graphic sexual content. He’s also attempted to explain away a Nazi-themed tattoo on his chest.

Most recently, reports surfaced that his wife alerted his campaign early on about sexually explicit texts Platner sent to multiple women — messages she discovered on the oyster farmer’s phone. He also maintains an account on Kik, a private messaging app frequently used for sexual hookups.

Texas state representative James Talerico is likewise reinventing himself at breakneck speed. In 2022, Talerico ran what he described as a “non-meat” campaign, telling animal welfare advocates that climate change considerations were driving him to reduce meat consumption.

Now, running to represent a major cattle-ranching state — and after being mocked as “Tofu Talerico” by opponent Ken Paxton — the candidate suddenly claims to be a red-blooded steak lover.

Talerico is also battling past comments that “God is non-binary” and that there are six sexes — exactly the kind of radical nonsense that GOP opponents can capitalize on. He’s also embraced the divisive claim that white people are inherently racist, a position unlikely to resonate in Texas.

In Michigan, one of the Democratic Primary front-runners for Gary Peters’ seat is progressive Abdul El-Sayed, a far-left advocate of Medicare-for-all who wants to abolish ICE. El-Sayed recently made headlines by recounting a story that critics say reveals serious anger management issues.

He admitted to smashing a fifth of vodka on the floor of a Detroit liquor store because the proprietor commented on the length of his beard — a remark with religious significance among Muslims.

Establishment Democrats must be horrified at the direction their party is heading. Adding to their troubles, Jill Biden is hitting the airwaves promoting her new book, conducting interviews about her White House years and reminding the country of the essential lie of the Biden era: that Joe Biden was fit to serve another four years.

That deception was perpetuated by her and by Democrat officials who knew better.

Meanwhile, the Democrat National Committee is engaged in internal warfare, wrangling over an incomplete and sloppy “autopsy” of their 2024 defeat. They don’t need an autopsy — they need to listen to the few sane voices in their party who have condemned Democrats’ support of biological men competing in women’s sports, defunding the police, open borders, and other deeply unpopular positions.

At some point, establishment Democrats will have to confront the radical extremists hijacking their party and actively working against the best interests of the United States.

The Constitution must be defended.
