- A 15-year-old son of a reality TV star faces serious felony charges, but mounting evidence suggests the accusations may be false.
- The mother reveals her son passed a polygraph test and DNA evidence contradicts the allegations entirely.
- Georgia law now allows teenagers as young as 13 to be charged as adults for certain felonies, raising questions about justice and due process.
KJ Biermann, the 15-year-old son of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kim Zolciak, was arrested and charged with two felony counts in Alpharetta, Georgia. The charges stem from an alleged incident in April.
KJ, whose full name is Kroy Jagger, was charged with aggravated sexual battery and aggravated sodomy on August 17. The teen is being charged as an adult under Georgia’s SB440 law, which gives adult superior courts jurisdiction over teenagers aged 13 to 17 accused of specific violent felonies.
His mother, Kim Zolciak, is categorically denying the allegations and presenting evidence that challenges the accuser’s claims.
“The allegations being made against my son are nothing short of reckless and deeply troubling,” Zolciak said in a statement. “He categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged.”
Zolciak revealed that her son voluntarily took a polygraph examination regarding the allegations and passed. She also stated that a DNA examination was conducted, and no DNA belonging to her son was found.
The reality star raised additional concerns about the accuser’s credibility.
“We are also aware that this individual has made similar allegations involving two other people, which raises serious concerns that deserve to be carefully examined,” Zolciak said.
Zolciak warned about the dangers of rushing to judgment in cases like this.
“False accusations can have devastating consequences not only for the person being accused, but also for genuine survivors of sexual assault and abuse,” she said. “Every legitimate allegation deserves to be taken seriously and investigated based on the facts and evidence. At the same time, no one should be publicly condemned based solely on an accusation.”
“We remain confident that the facts and evidence will establish the truth, and we ask that people allow the proper process to take its course rather than spreading unproven allegations,” Zolciak concluded.
KJ is currently being held with no bond at the Metro Regional Youth Detention Center pending a preliminary hearing in September. The fact that a 15-year-old is being held without bond and charged as an adult raises serious questions about proportionality and the rights of minors in the justice system.
KJ is the oldest son of Kroy Biermann and Kim Zolciak. The former couple also has Kash, 14, and twins Kaia and Kane, 12.
Biermann adopted Zolciak’s daughters, Ariana and Brielle, from a previous relationship. Zolciak and Biermann each filed for divorce in 2023 after 11 years of marriage.
