Iran’s Missile Reach Revealed in Diego Garcia Strike

  • Tehran’s missiles traveled roughly 2,500 miles, nearly doubling the 1,200-mile limit previously claimed by Iranian officials.
  • The strike on a remote military hub signals a direct threat to U.S. interests far beyond the borders of the Middle East.
  • By deceiving the global community, Iran has developed a capability to strike targets previously thought to be out of range.

Iran recently launched intermediate-range ballistic missiles at Diego Garcia, a strategic U.S.-U.K. base in the Indian Ocean.

This provocative act proves the regime has been lying about its military reach to avoid international scrutiny.

On a previous news appearance, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi dismissed concerns about his nation’s missile range as misinformation meant to spark conflict.

“We have intentionally limited ourselves to below 2,000 kilometers of range because we don’t want to be felt as a threat by anybody else in the world,” Araghchi said.

The Pentagon reported that one missile failed mid-flight while the other was intercepted by American defenses.

These technical outcomes do not diminish the reality that a hostile adversary is actively expanding its offensive power.

Expert Farzin Nadimi noted that if Iran can reach Diego Garcia, it possesses the range required to strike targets across much of Europe.

Constitutional conservatives must recognize that trust in rogue regimes is a gamble with American lives.

“Iran likely prepared long in advance,” Nadimi said, suggesting these systems were developed under the cloak of diplomatic deception.

The United States must stop underestimating adversaries who consistently disregard their own stated limits.

Protecting the nation requires a commitment to superior military readiness and a rejection of naive foreign policy.

Our freedoms depend on staying vigilant.
