Atlanta Airport Shutdown Triggers Nine-Hour TSA Security Waits
Liberty Check
- The DHS shutdown is creating massive disruptions for American citizens attempting to travel freely.
- Reports show hundreds of agents are quitting their posts entirely rather than working without compensation.
- The federal government is failing its basic duty to maintain efficient border and travel security infrastructure.
Travelers at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport faced grueling nine-hour security waits this Sunday.
The Department of Homeland Security shutdown has crippled staffing, forcing essential agents to work without pay while wait times fluctuate wildly.
The airport officially warned travelers to arrive at least four hours early due to extreme staffing constraints.
Reports indicate a staggering 41.5% callout rate for TSA agents in Atlanta as the financial strain of the shutdown takes its toll.
“As the Democrats’ DHS shutdown continues, many TSA officers are facing extraordinary financial hardship—forcing them to call out of work and take on side jobs to support their families,” the Department of Homeland Security stated.
“Democrats are hurting Americans—and they don’t care.”
To combat the crisis, ICE agents have been deployed to assist with security lines at major hubs across the country.
This move aims to alleviate the burden on remaining staff and restore order for frustrated American travelers.
“I would greatly appreciate, however, NO MASKS, when helping our Country out of the Democrat caused MESS at the airports, etc. Thank you!” Donald Trump posted to Truth Social.
The current gridlock stems from deep disagreements in Congress over federal immigration enforcement policies.
Until a resolution is reached, the safety and convenience of the American public remain secondary to political posturing.
The Constitution must be defended.
