DHS Hits 5,000 Arrests, Noem Vows More Action

Liberty Check

Homeland Security has reached a new milestone, with 5,000 illegal aliens arrested in Los Angeles since June. Secretary Kristi Noem declared this achievement is “just the beginning,” sending a clear warning to criminal offenders.

  • The 5,000th arrest involved Gustavo Garcia-Miranda, a convicted drug trafficker from Mexico who had repeatedly entered the U.S. illegally.
  • Noem hailed law enforcement’s efforts, emphasizing that removing criminal aliens—gang members, predators, and murderers—has protected families and saved taxpayer dollars.
  • Despite rioters attacking federal agents and California lawmakers pushing sanctuary city policies, DHS and ICE kept enforcing the law and restoring order, with President Trump deploying the National Guard and Marines to reinforce local authorities.

Judicial challenges are mounting as a judge blocked President Trump’s attempt to restrict federal funds from sanctuary cities, even as Los Angeles faces lawsuits over its non-cooperation with federal immigration enforcement.

“Make no mistake: if you are here illegally, we will find you, arrest you, and send you back. This is just the beginning,” stated Secretary Noem.

ICE operations now extend to Washington, D.C., where nightly sweeps continue, targeting criminal aliens with records of violent offenses and repeat immigration violations.

Limited government means enforcing the laws on the books, not protecting those who break them. Constitutional rights belong to citizens—and those sworn to uphold the Constitution are pushing back against open-border policies that endanger our communities.

It’s time to push back.
