Do You Support DeSantis’ Move to Deport Migrants from ‘Alligator Alcatraz’?

Here’s The Scoop

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is taking decisive action to address the ongoing border crisis, announcing that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has begun flying illegal migrants out of the newly established “Alligator Alcatraz” detention facility. This move underscores DeSantis’s commitment to protecting Florida’s communities and ensuring that immigration laws are enforced.

“I’m pleased to report that those flights out of Alligator Alcatraz by DHS have begun. The cadence is increasing. We’ve already had a number of flights, in the last few days, we’ve had hundreds of illegals [that] have been removed from here,” DeSantis stated confidently during a recent appearance in South Florida.

While specifics on the number of deportations and destinations remain under wraps, Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin’s statement to Fox News Digital was clear and direct: “Fire up the deportation planes.”

The Alligator Alcatraz facility, strategically located in the Everglades’ swamplands of Miami-Dade County, was authorized by DeSantis under an emergency order. This former airport site in Ochopee has been transformed with robust tent structures and is designed to handle up to 4,000 detainees, doubling its current capacity of 2,000.

Governor DeSantis emphasized the facility’s purpose: “The whole purpose is to make this be a place that can facilitate increased frequency and numbers of deportations of illegal aliens, and that is the goal.” The site’s proximity to a runway allows for efficient deportation operations, minimizing the need for lengthy transport to distant airports.

“This airport is able to accept commercial-sized aircraft and conduct both day and nighttime operations,” DeSantis noted, highlighting the facility’s capability to expedite the deportation process.

As the nation grapples with the consequences of unchecked illegal immigration, Governor DeSantis’s proactive measures serve as a model for other states seeking to uphold the rule of law and protect their citizens.

I’m hearing legal Americans are being caught in this net. That’s not OK. If criminals, they need to be punished here. All others should return to their homeland. Let’s be humane in this effort. I’m glad money it being offered for self-deportment. Biden’s administration gave unprecedented access and now Trumps administration has to deal with his folly, with Americans footing the bill for egregious violations of our immigration law and sovereignty.

It’s not “DeSantis’ move”. He provided a place for the facility but has absolutely nothing to do with deportations as that’s 100% Federal. Enough with the misleading BS: you sound like Democrats or legacy media with that crap.

Your rendering image in no way matches the real facility. The real facility is a brilliant solution to criminals. Real air-conditioned structures instead of army pyramid tents. It even includes an aircraft runway capable of handling B737s. Your rendering could be considered a push for negative poll results. Do better next time.
