SHOCK RESULT: Soros-Backed Obama Operative Advances to California Governor Ballot
Liberty Check
- Former Biden administration HHS Secretary officially becomes first candidate to reach California’s general election
- Democrat establishment rallies around progressive bureaucrat who pushed federal COVID mandates
- Conservative voters face critical choice as Golden State’s political future hangs in balance
Former Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra has officially advanced to the November general election in California’s gubernatorial race. He becomes the first of two candidates to secure a spot on the ballot under the state’s top-two primary system.
Becerra’s advancement represents a continuation of California’s leftward trajectory under progressive leadership. As HHS Secretary under President Biden, he oversaw controversial federal health policies and vaccine mandates that sparked fierce opposition from constitutional conservatives nationwide.
California has spoken. Thank you for standing with us. To every volunteer who made a call, sent a text, knocked a door, or showed up when it mattered most — this victory belongs to you.

The former Secretary’s path to the general election comes as California faces mounting crises. Crime rates continue plaguing major cities, homelessness has reached unprecedented levels, and middle-class families flee the state in record numbers due to oppressive taxation and failing schools.
During his tenure at HHS, Becerra championed expansive federal health bureaucracy and defended Biden administration overreach on vaccine requirements. Before that, he served as California’s Attorney General, where he built a reputation for partisan lawsuits against the Trump administration.
California’s primary system allows the top two vote-getters to advance regardless of party affiliation. The second qualifying candidate has yet to be determined as vote counting continues in several counties.
Conservative candidates face an uphill battle in deep-blue California, where Democrat voter registration maintains a significant advantage. Yet mounting public dissatisfaction with progressive governance has created openings for candidates willing to champion law and order, parental rights, and fiscal responsibility.
The November general election will determine who leads America’s most populous state through critical challenges including water management, energy policy, border security cooperation, and education reform. California voters must decide whether to continue down the path of progressive policies or chart a new direction.
Americans deserve better.
