A brutal attack in Stuart, Florida, has left a community in mourning after a 73-year-old woman was murdered while walking her dog.
Authorities have charged 25-year-old Kersten Francilus with first-degree premeditated murder in the case.
First responders discovered the suspect actively assaulting Joyce Thompson Adams with a serrated kitchen knife.
Despite the efforts of a brave bystander to intervene, the victim could not be saved from the horrific violence.
“Nothing at this point indicates that he’s antisemitic at all, other than the statement that he made,” said Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek regarding the suspect’s claims.
Protecting the rights of the law-abiding requires a firm commitment to justice and the rule of law.
Citizens must remain vigilant as our communities face rising concerns over senseless violence and system failures.
Our freedoms depend on staying vigilant.
