House Moves to Expose Epstein Files, Demands DOJ Transparency

Liberty Check

  • The vote showed overwhelming House support for revealing DOJ documents amid calls for accountability.
  • House Speaker Mike Johnson and many Republicans expressed concerns about exposing private citizens but still supported the bill, pointing to urgent public interest.
  • The Senate’s next move remains uncertain, with both privacy safeguards and full disclosure at stake.

The House of Representatives cast a decisive vote compelling the Department of Justice to disclose files tied to Jeffrey Epstein. This rare bipartisan push was championed by Reps. Thomas Massie and Ro Khanna, with many demanding transparency for the American people.

Survivors present in the chamber responded with cheers as the bill passed 427 to 1. The lone dissent, Rep. Clay Higgins, warned,

“As written, this bill reveals and injures thousands of innocent people – witnesses, people who provided alibis, family members, etc. If enacted in its current form, this type of broad reveal of criminal investigative files, released to a rabid media, will absolutely result in innocent people being hurt.”

“Not by my vote.”

He stated he would back an amended version that better protected innocent individuals.

Congress must prioritize justice and constitutional rights over bureaucratic secrecy. Make your voice heard and demand true transparency from our leaders.

Americans deserve better.
