A New York jury has delivered a $2 million verdict for Fox Varian, a woman harmed by irreversible sex change surgery performed when she was a minor. This case marks the first time a detransitioner has prevailed in a civil medical malpractice trial over gender procedures conducted on children.

Varian, now 22, sued both her psychologist and plastic surgeon for a double mastectomy executed when she was only 16 and identifying as transgender. She no longer identifies as transgender and now works as an actress.

This historic judgment shines a light on medical accountability and the need for greater oversight in cases involving irreversible interventions on children. Constitutional conservatives must demand transparency and question the priorities driving such radical medical actions on minors.
