Walz Stonewalls Congress on $300M Fraud

Liberty Check

  • Walz’s team stonewalls Congress, shielding MDE’s failures in protecting taxpayer nutrition funds from massive fraud.
  • Nearly 80 charged with over 50 convictions; FOF leader Abdiaziz Shafii Farah got 28 years for $300M theft.
  • Governor admits welfare “attracts criminals” yet demonizes Trump’s fraud crackdown and dropped reelection bid.

Tim Walz’s Minnesota administration is obstructing a House Education and Workforce Committee probe into welfare fraud linked to the Feeding Our Future scandal, where a Somali-led nonprofit stole $300 million in COVID relief for children.

Republicans subpoenaed documents in September 2024 but received incomplete files excluding governor-staff texts, prompting demands for more oversight records on mishandled requests.

“Reporting over the last five to 10 years and the criminal trials of FOF personnel and others continue to raise grave concerns about whether the nutrition programs have adequate safeguards in place against fraud, waste, and abuse,”

the committee letter states.

“Related questions exist of whether Minnesota and MDE have exercised sufficient oversight of food service sponsors and providers.”

“Those people are going to jail,”

Walz insisted.

“We’re doing everything we can.”

Congress must enforce accountability to curb government waste and uphold constitutional oversight rights for fiscal responsibility.

Americans deserve better.
