U.S. authorities say that three women from Texas have gone missing in Mexico after crossing the border to sell clothes at a flea market.

It’s been about two weeks since anyone’s heard from the women — two sisters, Maritza Trinidad Perez Rios, 47; Marina Perez Rios, 48; and their friend, Dora Alicia Cervantes Saenz, 53.

The situation comes after four Americans from North Carolina were abducted at gunpoint in Mexico. Two of them have been returned to the U.S., and two of them were killed by suspected cartel members in a case of mistaken identity, authorities said.
