Do You Believe Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” Will Deliver on Conservative Promises?
Here’s The Scoop
President Donald Trump is once again championing a legislative masterpiece that promises to fulfill long-standing conservative goals. The “One Big Beautiful Bill” is on the brink of delivering a conservative renaissance, but it first needs to navigate through a couple of contentious issues: the State and Local Taxes (SALT) deduction cap and the scale of spending cuts amidst a backdrop of record national debt.
Speaker Mike Johnson is burning the midnight oil to address these challenges, particularly the demands to raise the SALT deduction cap. Fiscal conservatives are being urged to trust in Trump’s team, which is committed to slashing more than $1.6 trillion in spending over the next decade.
Conservatives like Rep. August Pfluger, R-Texas, are stepping up to the plate, recognizing the importance of compromise in governance. “As a conservative, I want to save as much money as I can,” Pfluger stated, emphasizing the need to move forward even if it means not getting everything on the wish list this time around.
Progress is on the horizon as blue-state Republicans engage in negotiations to potentially increase the SALT deduction cap beyond the proposed $30,000. Meanwhile, Rep. Gabe Evans, R-Colo., highlights that conservative hawks are already making headway in cutting spending through the traditional appropriations process, treating congressional appropriations as ceilings rather than floors.
Rep. Rudy Yakym, R-Ind., is optimistic about future spending reductions, anticipating that Trump will send rescission packages to Congress, further trimming the budget.
High-profile conservatives, including House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, are rallying their colleagues to communicate the bill’s numerous conservative victories to voters. “Democrats hate it because it’s all about Republican principles,” Jordan noted, underscoring the bill’s alignment with core GOP values like tax cuts, border security, and work requirements for welfare recipients.
The White House has outlined 20 compelling reasons for Republicans to unite behind this funding package. At the forefront are Trump’s historic tax cuts, promising an average $5,000 decrease in tax bills for Americans, and provisions like “No Tax On Tips” and “No Tax On Overtime.”
The bill also prioritizes border security with “Big, Beautiful Deportations,” funding the largest border security investment ever, including the completion of Trump’s border wall and the hiring of thousands of new ICE personnel and Border Patrol agents.
Trump is determined to protect Medicaid by removing illegal migrants from the rolls, saving taxpayer dollars, and mandating work for benefit recipients by 2029. The legislation also halts taxpayer-funded sex changes for minors, reversing policies enacted under the Biden administration.
Furthermore, the bill aims to modernize air traffic control systems and dismantle Biden’s “Green New Scam” by repealing green subsidies and electric vehicle mandates. It introduces “MAGA Accounts” for newborns, enhances the child tax credit, and strengthens paid family leave.
In a nod to the gig economy, the bill repeals IRS reporting requirements for transactions over $600 through platforms like Venmo and PayPal. Family farmers also stand to benefit, with over $10 billion in tax cuts and the elimination of death taxes that hinder generational farm transfers.
This legislation is a bold step toward reclaiming conservative values and ensuring a prosperous future for American families.

My concern is the anticipated rise in the national debt by 4.5 TRILLION dollars. If there is all this cutting of fraud and theft within our government and the removal of those not elligable for any benefits from the government why is our debt rising? Are all the info uncovered by TOGE not being addressed?

Bob…no not all Doge fraud finds are addressed. They can’t be. Those things must be addressed in a separate bill other than the reconciliation. Which they are now doing. The increase in budget is due to the increase in things like defense. But don’t worry…Trump knows with all he is doing, step by step, in a specific order, America will be wealthy! At this point all the debt will be paid. Trump wud NEVER allow that to continue.
The fools in congress actually think they are smarter than Trump! He can’t tell them the plan coz then it wud be told to dems which wud stop him. IF we want the land of milk n honey Trump MUST have his way to succeed. KEEP PRAYING!!
