Last year, the “defund the police” movement briefly garnered the national spotlight. Now, states are providing funds to hire more officers.
The Department of Justice Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) Hiring Program has awarded $139 million to 183 law enforcement agencies nationwide.
In New Jersey, that translated to more than $11.7 million in grants to six local police departments to hire 72 new law enforcement officials. Nationally, the grants will help fund 1,066 full-time law enforcement members.
“Our first responders put their lives on the line every single day to keep our communities safe, running toward the danger instead of away,” Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-N.J.) said.

What a bunch of mentally challenged, pseudo-intellects we have been saddled with for the last 4 years! This administration has done more to divide United States Citizens than any previous, other than the Obama administration! Short of a complete community overthrow of our way of life, TREASON against the citizens of this country is the word daily!We all know the punishment for treason is death!

Being ex law enforcement, I can say without doubt this local batch of officials are the most inempt untrained bunch of brown shirts ever. Because they have a gun and badge, they think they can do anything to anyone. They came on my property, we had a call. Wanted to take my child away. I would not allow them in the house. U limped out into the yard. They split up about 50 feet away from me, at 180 degrees apart. I didnt even have time to get my cane. I had a tee shirt, shorts and slippers. But because u didn’t agree with them they unwrapped their holsters and were going to draw down on me. I cant barely walk in smooth surfaces, uneven ground, ill be down within 2 steps. I was retired and disabled. But they were going to shoot me down in my own yard. Never again will allow them on my property. They want a war, they just started one.
