Earlier this week, 12 Senate Republicans voted in favor of a bill securing federal protections for same-sex marriage, allowing it to surpass the 60-vote threshold it needed to pass.
Here are the 12 GOP lawmakers who supported the bill:

It’s sad to think those of the same sex want to join in bond of marriage.
Our society has gotten away from the biblical direction of God. I personally don’t believe in same sex marriage but this is a thing that only the Lord and those in participation can resolve. Let them live their life as they choose but don’t give in to the advertisement of this way of life. Our country was founded on the guidance of the bible and I’ve yet to see the way of the gay as anything God has approved. As I was taught it is man and women who have the consent from God to participate in the holy bond of matrimony. Quit giving our young people advice on

No one is forcing men to marry men or women to marry women.
Marriage is such a basic right, so of course those who choose a same-sex partner should also be entitled to protection.

I am very disappointed in Richard Burr and Thom Tillis. Richard Burr has retired, but Thom Tillis still works for N.C. I have never agreed with same sex marriages. GOD CREATED MAN AND WOMAN! SHAME ON YOU IF YOU ARE MARRIED TO THE SAME SEX! GOD BLESS THE USA!

Hey Sunflower, you had a good write up, however, I would like to call your attention to one statement you made. Also, that many today say: that is, “to hate the sin, but love the sinner” You said GOD tells us to…I would like to, without trying to offend you, call your attention to 2 Chronicles 19:2 KJV which asks the question, “shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate The Lord? The verse finishes with the answer as states, therefore is wrath upon thee from before the Lord. Maam, When we compare Scripture w/Scripture those that practice and follow the ways above, are ungodly and Hate the Lord. He said in Romans 1:23-31 as well as Lev. 18:22 that this practice is out of Gods order and is unseemly! OUR Practice as Christians is to tell them of the WORD of GOD and preach the word so that they may COME OUT of this practice! I KNOW some that did, there are some that do. Ecclesiates 3:8 says there is a “TIME to HATE” and I’d say this is a time! You see, and finally, when a man commits Murder etc etc he is a murderer etc, When he goes to jail for murder etc. The man goes, not just the sin! SINNERS BECOME a part of their sin.
