Do You Support Trump’s Plan to Abolish DEI-Based School Discipline Policies?

Here’s The Scoop

In a bold move to restore fairness and common sense in American schools and legal systems, President Donald Trump is set to sign two pivotal executive orders on Wednesday. These orders aim to dismantle the left-leaning policies that have been undermining discipline in schools and skewing legal interpretations, according to information obtained by Breitbart News.

The first order targets the controversial DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) policies that have infiltrated school discipline systems. Instead of basing disciplinary actions on a student’s behavior, previous policies pushed by the Obama administration focused on equalizing disciplinary rates by race. Trump’s order seeks to put an end to this by ensuring that discipline is rooted in behavior, not racial quotas, thereby promoting a safer and more orderly classroom environment.

The White House document highlights the need for new guidance to educational agencies, emphasizing adherence to Title VI, which protects against racial discrimination. The order demands action against schools that continue to use racially preferential discipline practices, ensuring that federal funds are not misused to support such policies.

Additionally, the order calls for a comprehensive report analyzing the impact of DEI-based discipline and proposing model policies that reflect American values. This move is a clear pushback against the previous administration’s attempts to enforce racial balancing at the expense of fairness and discipline.

The second executive order takes aim at the disparate-impact liability legal theory, a controversial approach that suggests differences in outcomes among races or sexes indicate discrimination, even without intent. This theory has been used to justify race-oriented policies, which the White House argues violate the Constitution’s promise of equal treatment for all.

By eliminating the use of this theory, Trump’s order seeks to ensure that legal interpretations do not favor any group based on race or sex, thus restoring true equality under the law. The order also instructs all agencies to deprioritize enforcement of statutes relying on disparate-impact liability and directs Attorney General Pam Bondi to amend or repeal related regulations.

These executive actions underscore President Trump’s commitment to dismantling the divisive policies of the past and reaffirming the principles of fairness and equality that are the bedrock of American society. The orders are set to be signed at 5:00 p.m. E.T., marking a significant step in the fight against the left’s agenda to impose racial preferences in schools and the legal system.

DEI clearly violates the 14th Amendment’s guarantee of Equal Protection. It is just a new Affirmative Action with added quotas for the Alphabet Soups. To paraphrase Shakespeare: “A turd by any other name would stink as bad”.
