Nebraska’s ‘Cornhusker Clink’ Expands ICE Detention

Liberty Check

The Department of Homeland Security is establishing a new ICE detention facility in southwest Nebraska, nicknamed the “Cornhusker Clink,” as part of a nationwide expansion of immigration enforcement initiated under President Trump. This move adds 200 beds to the region and reflects a broader push for increased federal capacity to detain illegal aliens awaiting deportation or hearings.

The facility, about 200 miles from Lincoln, sits alongside the existing Work Ethic Camp in McCook, with state and federal cooperation driving its development.

  • The “Cornhusker Clink” joins other new facilities like “Alligator Alcatraz” and “Speedway Slammer,” broadening ICE’s reach.
  • Trump’s administration funded 80,000 additional beds, citing public safety and national security.
  • Nebraska’s National Guard is supporting ICE in enforcing immigration law locally.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem issued a warning:

“To help remove the worst of the worst out of our country, if you are in America illegally, you could find yourself in Nebraska’s Cornhusker Clink.”

Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen voiced his support for the initiative, highlighting the facility’s role in defending communities and upholding the rule of law.

Government’s first duty is to protect its citizens—not to bend to activist pressure or judicial overreach. Defending our borders and enforcing immigration law is not only a federal responsibility, it’s a constitutional necessity.

Stay informed and hold elected officials accountable as liberty-minded Americans work to preserve the principles that made this nation great.

It’s time to push back.
