Should The U.S. Build More Nuclear Power Plants?
Should The U.S. Build More Nuclear Power Plants?
Here’s the Scoop
With the ongoing energy debate and the push for green solutions, nuclear power stands as a potential solution. But with it comes concerns about safety, waste, and cost.
According to a recent Gallup poll, 62% of Republicans, 46% of Democrats and 56% of independents are in favor of the U.S. using nuclear energy to provide electricity.
Nuclear energy is a key component of the Biden administration’s clean energy plan for the U.S., and although 55% of Americans now favor using it as a source of electricity, significant opposition remains, including from the president’s own party.

They can’t destroy the waste, they just store it in caves and dump it in the ocean, Nuclear waste os omdestrictable and will be poising this earth for 10,000 years after we are all dead

That was true with the old technology. However operators now use a much greater percentage of the radioactive isotopes so that the half life is greatly reduced. As far as waste, load it onto a rocket and send it to the sun where it would be destroyed long before it actually got there.

Back in the 70s they were building a nuclear waste recycling that would have made over 90$ reusable and non-radioactive……until Carter pulled the plug on it in 1979.
