Should the US Keep Sending Money to Ukraine?

Should the US Keep Sending Money to Ukraine?

Here’s The Scoop

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, along with his Democrat and Republican cohorts, are hell-bent on sending billions to Ukraine while our southern border remains in chaos. But, as Sen. J.D. Vance discovered, there’s an even more sinister aspect to the $95 billion aid bill.

Vance warned that buried in the bill’s text is an “impeachment time bomb” for the next Trump presidency if he tries to stop funding the war in Ukraine. This dangerous and undemocratic clause seeks to handcuff any future president, ensuring Ukraine funding continues well into the future.

In an interview with Tucker Carlson, Vance explained that this clause would make it impossible for the next president to conduct diplomacy on his terms, leading to endless war all over the world.

Conservative host Dana Loesch questioned Sen. Rand Paul about this impeachment clause, to which Paul jokingly replied that they’re already covering their bases in case Trump is elected again.

Even Elon Musk called it “insane.” It seems the real threats to democracy are lurking within the world’s most deliberative body, as Congress attempts to wrest the power of diplomacy from whoever might win the 2024 presidential election. This doesn’t sound very democratic, does it?

That money is coming back to the people in our government, in one way or another, there’s no other reason to keep giving it.

Aside from the kickbacks to politicians, this money is feeding the military industrial complex that Eisenhower warned us about when he left office. I don’t mind these arms being produced if they stayed in the US to protect us. But I’m tired of funding wars that don’t portend to our security.

We need to be concerned with the ongoing invasion of THIS nation! Even more a treat to the survival of the US than Russia is to Ukraine because THIS invasion is sanctioned by out own treasonous fascist government, and most Americans are totally oblivious!

We need to send them ammunition and missiles, not money. Use the money to buy the ammunition from American manufactures and pay American workers. The ammunition is needed to fight the battle to keep Russia out, not money to go into the pockets of officials for use according to their judgement.

I whole heartedly agree with you. Ukraine needs ammunition and we need the jobs, besides, the money we can’t follow and in who’s pocket it’s going.

How do you think it works: we just load cash into boxes and ship it over there? No, the money is spent buying arms, ammo, & equipment from U.S. defense contractors – when available – and from allies and other external sources when it isn’t or when our production can’t meet the agreed production quotas. A small portion is provided as cash to help them pay their servicemen’s salaries because they have no cash reserves and little to export to generate income because of Russian destruction/capture of Ukraine’s industrial base and shipping facilities. We need to spend whatever it takes to defeat the Russians, now, or we will be drawn into future conflicts with Russia & China that will cost American lives.

Money or support should be given as a loan with interest. The U.S. taxpayers should not have to finance their wars.

Right now the Ukrainians are fighting with all they’ve got to keep their land and freedom. Right now we need to support them and help them win this insidious war. Putin is a murderer with no morals and will continue if not stopped. What if he wins and invades another country, maybe a NATO country. It could then be our boys fighting. We must stop him now

20 million illegals from all over the world invading America and our government turns its head but wants to send billions to a country that was part of Russia to start with if the money was coming back to republicans they would have never gotten the first check.

The politicians are getting kickbacks, left right and middle from the defense contractors and from zelensky. While Europe, the ones most affected, are paying very little. We’re paying for it. Send the sun again
