Seattle, like many Democrat-controlled cities across America, continues to grapple with escalating violence and public safety concerns. Critics point to soft-on-crime policies and defund-the-police movements that have left communities vulnerable.
The Seattle Center, normally a hub for cultural events and family activities, became yet another crime scene in a city where residents increasingly question whether their leaders prioritize public safety. The festival was immediately shut down following the shooting.
Law enforcement authorities have not yet released information about the suspect or possible motives. Families who came out to enjoy food and community were instead met with chaos and terror.
This shooting adds to a growing list of violent incidents in major American cities where progressive policies have taken hold. Seattle residents deserve leadership that puts their safety first, not political ideology.
Americans deserve better.
