Whistleblower Bias Allegations Threaten Trump’s 2019 Impeachment Narrative
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has submitted criminal referrals to the Justice Department, targeting a suspected conspiracy involving the 2019 impeachment of President Donald Trump. Recently declassified documents suggest that Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson improperly handled a whistleblower investigation based on secondary information.
Gabbard alleges that deep state actors concocted a false narrative to usurp the will of the American people. The referrals specifically focus on Atkinson and a whistleblower who reportedly possessed significant political bias and ties to Joe Biden.

- Newly declassified records show the whistleblower process was weaponized by relying on secondhand testimony rather than firsthand evidence.
- The whistleblower reportedly admitted to lying about prior communications with congressional Democrats before submitting formal allegations.
- The Inspector General admitted his findings were only preliminary yet forwarded them to Congress without a full investigation.
“Deep state actors within the Intelligence Community concocted a false narrative that was used by Congress to usurp the will of the American people and impeach the duly-elected President,” Gabbard stated.
The DNI further noted that inquiries into the whistleblower’s motives were previously blocked during the 2020 impeachment trial.
