Liberty Check
- The National Center of Forensic Medicine in Israel is finishing its examination to determine final causes of death for the hostages.
- Families of the returned victims expressed both relief and enduring sorrow, vowing to keep fighting for the return of those still missing.
- Hamas failed to provide the remains of all deceased hostages as stipulated by agreements, prolonging grief for many families.
Israel has identified two of the four hostages whose remains were returned by Hamas through the Red Cross. The families were informed about Guy Iluz, Bipin Joshi, and two others whose identities have not been published, bringing a partial end to their harrowing ordeal.
The Israel Defense Forces stated that Guy Iluz was taken alive from the Nova music festival and later died from untreated injuries in captivity. Bipin Joshi was kidnapped from Kibbutz Alumim and, according to an IDF evaluation, was killed while being held by Hamas during the early months of the conflict.
The IDF stresses it remains dedicated to returning every hostage, upholding Israel’s duty to its citizens in line with national and human rights. Americans must recognize the importance of standing with allies who fight terrorism and demand accountability.
