The radical congresswoman claimed the SAVE Act would disenfranchise half of Pennsylvania voters by requiring them to show identification. This assertion flies in the face of reality and reveals just how desperate the left has become in their fight against election integrity.

The SAVE Act is straightforward legislation designed to ensure only American citizens vote in federal elections. It requires proof of citizenship during voter registration — a common-sense safeguard that most Americans already support.

Pennsylvania already requires voters to show identification when voting in person for the first time at a polling place. The state has had voter ID requirements in various forms for years without any mass disenfranchisement.

Scanlon’s math doesn’t add up. Pennsylvania has approximately 9 million registered voters. For her claim to be accurate, roughly 4.5 million Pennsylvanians would need to lack any form of identification — an absurd proposition in modern America.

The overwhelming majority of Americans possess some form of identification for basic daily activities — from driving to banking to boarding planes. The notion that millions of voters would suddenly be unable to participate in elections because of citizenship verification is pure fiction.

This fear-mongering reveals the real agenda: Democrats oppose any meaningful election security measures that could prevent fraud or ensure the integrity of our democratic process. They dress up their opposition in the language of voter rights while actually undermining confidence in our elections.

The SAVE Act doesn’t prevent anyone from voting. It simply ensures those casting ballots in federal elections are actually citizens of the United States — a requirement that should be non-controversial in any functioning democracy.
