Two teenagers involved in the attempted carjacking and assault of a former government staffer have been released from secure juvenile detention to lighter restrictions.
The presiding judge, appointed by President Biden, ordered one teen to a youth shelter and the other to home arrest, despite their charges and the violent nature of the incident.
