Federal power is being brought to bear against Brian Cole Jr., who confessed to placing pipe bombs at both major party committee headquarters.
According to the Associated Press, the multi-agency probe was led by the FBI and detailed Cole’s reasons and political beliefs.
Cole did not enter a plea and will remain in custody until his next court date, as ordered by Magistrate Moxila Upadhyaya.
An FBI affidavit claims the government traced him through digital surveillance and financial records.
