Benedictine University, a Catholic institution in Illinois, recently hosted a “Trans Day of Remembrance” event on November 20. The event commemorated transgender individuals lost to violence, and was promoted with messages of dignity and inclusion.

The university maintained that this observance reflects the values of respect, empathy, and social justice rooted in their Catholic identity.

“If no one told you today that they love you … you’re always held and loved by God.”

Benedictine University defended the event, affirming its commitment to honoring each person’s dignity while upholding the school’s spiritual mission. Americans should question if institutions are respecting constitutional principles or pushing compelled viewpoints.

It’s time to push back.
