Foreign Soccer Team MOCKS America With Staged Trump Dance Celebration
Liberty Check
- Belgian national team performed coordinated Trump dance celebration after defeating U.S. men’s soccer team 4-1
- Dance has become worldwide phenomenon following Trump’s election victory and cultural resurgence
- Incident highlights America’s declining respect on international stage under current leadership
The Belgian national soccer team delivered a humiliating blow to American pride, not just with a crushing 4-1 victory over the U.S. men’s team, but by mocking the nation with a coordinated Trump dance celebration on the field.
Following their dominant performance, Belgian players gathered to perform the viral Trump dance — the same celebration that has swept through American sports and culture since President Trump’s historic election victory. The dance, inspired by Trump’s signature rally moves, has been adopted by NFL stars, UFC fighters, and athletes across multiple sports as a symbol of patriotic pride and cultural pushback against woke ideology.
“Astonished.” Royal Belgian FA reaction to FIFA’s extraordinary decision to lift suspension on Folarin Balogun. @RoyalBelgianFA adds that “to safeguard the legitimate rights” of teams it is “investigating all potential options”. Unbelievable decision. pic.twitter.com/et3PHNRzjV

Trump: The people in Belgium—if they win the game, they can be very proud. If they would have won the game with the player missing, it would have been a different feeling. You can’t do that, and I’m very glad.
All I did was ask for a review. I didn’t say, “You have to do this.”… pic.twitter.com/CxJIVVsY0x

After Belgium scored their 4th goal vs USA, the whole team mocked President Donald Trump by doing his signature dance move
Pretty savage troll, especially on US soil & after Trump fought to have FIFA review the bogus red card suspension on Balogun.
Well played 🤝 pic.twitter.com/HRgRwUUzNH

But when foreign competitors use it to taunt American athletes after a lopsided defeat, it raises serious questions about how the United States is perceived on the world stage. Under the previous administration, America commanded respect internationally through strength and decisive leadership. Now, foreign teams feel emboldened to openly disrespect our national team and mock our country’s elected president.
The Trump dance phenomenon emerged as a powerful cultural statement following the 2024 election, representing a rejection of left-wing sports activism and a return to celebrating American excellence without apology. Athletes performing the dance domestically have been making a statement of solidarity with traditional American values and the MAGA movement’s vision for national renewal.
When foreigners co-opt it for mockery, however, it exposes a deeper problem: America’s standing has been severely damaged by years of weak leadership, failed foreign policy, and the projection of internal division onto the global stage. Our adversaries and competitors no longer fear American strength or respect American greatness.
The 4-1 defeat itself was a embarrassing display for U.S. soccer, but the calculated mockery afterward transformed a sporting loss into a moment of national humiliation. Belgian players clearly felt comfortable disrespecting not just the American team, but the American president and, by extension, the American people.
This incident serves as yet another reminder that weakness invites contempt. When America projects strength, confidence, and unity under strong leadership, the world responds with respect. When we appear divided, weak, and uncertain, our rivals see opportunity to humiliate us on every stage — including the soccer field.
The Trump dance was created as a celebration of American resilience and the triumph of common-sense conservatism over elite cultural gatekeepers. Seeing it weaponized against our national team by foreign competitors should outrage every patriotic American and serve as a wake-up call about the cost of diminished American prestige.
Americans deserve better.
