Liberal Blogger Makes Stunning Admission About Modern Cancel Culture

  • Former celebrity gossip figure admits cancel culture has become weaponized entertainment, not accountability
  • Consensus emerges across political divide: digital mobs now destroy lives for sport
  • Elite celebrities remain ‘cancel-proof’ while everyday Americans face career destruction

In an unexpected moment of clarity, a liberal media personality joined OutKick’s “Tomi Lahren is Fearless” to expose the brutal reality of today’s cancel culture machine.

Perez Hilton, once notorious for his own brand of celebrity takedowns, sat down with Lahren to discuss how digital mob justice has evolved from accountability into bloodsport. The two found rare common ground in condemning the cutthroat tactics now destroying lives over minor mistakes.

Lahren opened the discussion by contrasting today’s climate with the past, noting that traditional damage control has been replaced by coordinated attacks designed to permanently end careers.

“The cancel culture of today and especially of a few years ago is like cutthroat. There are people that we still don’t have in entertainment life because they made a small slip up and there was like this mass horde of people online that are like, cancel them, end their life, make sure they’re bankrupt.”

Lahren emphasized her principled opposition to cancel culture applies even to her political opponents.

“I personally don’t like it. Even the people I don’t like, I don’t believe in cancel culture, unless you’re violent. It’s a much different environment now.”

Hilton, who became a household name for his own controversial celebrity commentary in the mid-2000s, acknowledged the landscape has fundamentally shifted since his early days online.

“I don’t believe in cancel culture either. Nick Cannon says, counsel culture, not cancel culture. I love looking at it that way. But that’s if we’re assuming that people are being genuine.”

The blogger then made a striking admission about the true motivations behind most modern cancellations.

“What I’ve noticed over the last five to 10 years is that canceling somebody has really become a form of entertainment and a sport. People are not trying to hold others accountable for the right reasons. They’re just doing it to get their rocks off.”

Hilton exposed another uncomfortable truth: the cancel culture mob operates with a clear class system, targeting working Americans while leaving Hollywood’s elite completely untouched.

“There’s also a rule that I have, which is, yes, sadly, cancel culture still exists. But if you’re an A-lister, you’re cancel proof.”

The conversation highlighted a growing consensus across the political spectrum: what began as demands for accountability has devolved into coordinated harassment campaigns where online mobs destroy reputations and livelihoods for entertainment value.

While mega-celebrities weather any controversy, ordinary Americans face permanent career destruction for a single mistake or misinterpreted comment. The double standard reveals cancel culture was never about justice—it’s about power and control.

Americans deserve better.
