Federal Judge Blocks Trump Migrants Status Move

Liberty Check

  • The court ruled the administration failed to follow required procedures when trying to end parole for roughly 900,000 migrants.
  • Trump administration officials argued the previous policy granted parole too broadly instead of case by case.
  • A DHS spokesperson condemned the ruling as judicial activism that limits the President’s authority on border security.

A federal judge in Boston ruled that the Trump administration unlawfully attempted to revoke the legal status of hundreds of thousands of migrants.

Those migrants entered the country through the Biden-era CBP One app, which granted them parole and work authorization.

Judge Allison Burroughs found that the Department of Homeland Security failed to follow proper statutes and its own regulations when it issued mass termination notices.

“The regulations do not give the agency unfettered discretion to terminate parole,” Burroughs wrote.

“When Defendants terminated the impacted noncitizens’ parole without observing the process mandated by statute and by their own regulations, they took action that was ‘not in accordance with law,’” the judge added.

While activist groups celebrate this ruling, it highlights the ongoing struggle to restore constitutional order and executive authority over immigration.

The ability of a single judge to stall national security measures remains a point of deep concern for those seeking border integrity.

The Constitution must be defended.
