Do You Support Ending Birthright Citizenship in the United States?

Do You Support Ending Birthright Citizenship in the United States?

Here’s the Scoop

In seeking to harness the surge of patriotic sentiment that aided Donald Trump in acquiring the Republican presidential nomination in 2016, Vivek Ramaswamy is advocating for the cessation of birthright citizenship.

This perspective is hardly singular within his party; indeed, it’s gaining traction within the GOP recently.

Representative Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) has taken a definitive step in this direction by introducing legislation aimed at terminating the practice.

Furthermore, Donald Trump has committed to eradicating birthright citizenship through unilateral executive action immediately at the commencement of his prospective second term, if the American people re-elect him in 2024.

Great idea! It would cut down tremendously on the illegals pouring through our southern border.

If Baby is born in a Hospital that is in the US that Baby is legally a Citizen of the US. This was asked many years ago and that Baby is a citizen of the US. If the Parents of the Baby are not Americans then they can cate the baby back where they came from but would have to get a passport to take the baby home.

That’s only because of the crooks in government.

Where did you get that info? The baby is not an American citizen just because it is born in an American hospital. If that were true, all TOURISTS who were born here prematurely would be American citizens. Then their parents would hate that they came here for a visit.

I’m surprised that 20%+ voted ‘no’. I voted “NO” because oftentimes aliens come here to have their babies so they can remain and invite the entire family to join them. And also the drain it puts on our country (ie taxpayers).

There never was a birthright citizenship, the amendment was to give citizenship to freed salves that were brought here against their will, not for illegals that came here illegally.

Birthright citizenship rewards illegals for entering the us illeagaly. All nations need control of their border.

I don’t support ending it outright but I am in favor of laws that would strip that right from babies born to illegal immigrants.

As retired military, I see this being abused WAY too often!
