Grand Jury Rejects DOJ Indictment of Letitia James
Liberty Check
- The judge previously threw out the initial indictment, questioning the legitimacy of the DOJ’s prosecution.
- This is the second grand jury to reject charges related to the alleged misuse of a Virginia property loan by James.
- Charges against former FBI Director James Comey in a related matter were also dismissed over the same unlawful prosecutor appointment.
New York Attorney General Letitia James avoided indictment again as a Virginia grand jury refused to move forward with federal mortgage fraud charges. This comes after a previous federal judge dismissed the original charges, citing issues with the prosecutor’s appointment by the Trump administration.
James continues to claim the case is political payback for her own legal actions against former President Trump. The Department of Justice has now failed twice to convince a grand jury to indict her on allegations related to a 2020 real estate transaction.
The DOJ could attempt to refile yet again, but another failure signals growing skepticism about the case’s foundation and motives.
Stand up for constitutional principles and demand accountability from a justice system that should serve the people, not political agendas.
It’s time to push back.
