The body of United States Army Sergeant Michael Swinton has returned home to American soil, arriving at Fayetteville Regional Airport in North Carolina. The fallen soldier made the ultimate sacrifice while serving his country in Iraq.

Sgt. Swinton’s return marks another solemn reminder of the brave men and women who put their lives on the line every day to defend American freedom and fight terrorism abroad. While politicians debate and grandstand, it’s our troops who pay the highest price.

His remains came home to Fort Bragg, NC, Monday under a water cannon salute, then rode in procession to Hope Mills.
