The SAVE Act requires proof of U.S. citizenship and valid photo identification for all federal elections, aiming to preserve election integrity. Illinois Rep. Delia Ramirez launched an attack on Republicans in Congress, accusing them of targeting vulnerable groups with new voting requirements.

“Look, as I hear my colleagues on the other side of the aisle, what I hear is the same racist, misogynistic trash, different decade,” Ramirez said.

Ramirez charged that the policy is designed to disenfranchise Americans, especially those struggling economically.

“The SAVE America Act is yet another Republican attempt to intimidate and suppress the votes of anyone, anyone who threatens their extremist white supremacist agenda,” Ramirez added.

Americans must recognize the importance of secure and fair elections to maintain the republic. Stand up for constitutional rights and demand transparency from those crafting our nation’s election laws.

The Constitution must be defended.
