Should the Migrant Crisis Be Funded By American Taxpayers?

Should the Migrant Crisis Be Funded By American Taxpayers?

Here’s The Scoop

The migrant crisis, a direct result of the disastrous policies enacted by Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, is set to cost American taxpayers a staggering $451 billion, according to a new report from House Republicans.

Every day, millions of taxpayer dollars are squandered on illegal immigration and the unprecedented crisis at the Southwest border. American citizens and lawful residents are left to bear the brunt of these costs, with only a small fraction ever recouped from the taxes paid by illegal aliens.

As a result, each taxpayer is on the hook for an average of $956 due to illegal immigration. This alarming figure is based on a comprehensive 50-page report that analyzed federal and state records, media reports, nonprofit reports, and other public information.

The cost of government housing and care for all migrants who have entered the U.S. since 2021 could end up being as high as $451 billion a year. This is a significant increase from the $135 billion cost back in 2017, as reported by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), a nonprofit that seeks to reduce illegal immigration.

Education costs for at least 3.8 million illegal migrants with limited English proficiency amount to $59 billion, while state police costs on illegal immigration have risen to $19 billion, up from $10.5 billion in 2017.

The opioid crisis, largely driven by fentanyl flooding over the border through drug cartels, cost a shocking $1.5 trillion in 2020 alone. With between 16.8 million and 29 million illegal migrants living in the country, and 3.8 million of those having entered under the Biden administration, American taxpayers are left footing the bill for this ongoing crisis.

Snipers, M134 mini guns and land mines need to be placed along the federal border. Nile crocodiles need to be in the Rio Grande river.

Everything but the crocs – they’d be still more immigrants we don’t need! Why put American alligators out of work?

Trump wanted $5 billion for a border wall. Congress would not allow it. The money should come from the congressmen who voted against him.

If liberal Dems had to use their own money to support the illegals the borders would have been closed long ago.
