Should The U.S. Prioritize Stricter Immigration Policies?

Here’s The Scoop

As the debate over immigration continues to dominate the national conversation, many Americans are questioning whether the United States should prioritize stricter immigration policies.

Supporters argue that tighter controls are necessary to protect national security and ensure the safety of American citizens. They point to the rising crime rates associated with illegal immigration and the potential threat of terrorists entering the country through porous borders.

Additionally, they argue that stricter immigration policies would help protect American jobs and wages, as well as preserve the country’s cultural identity.

Opponents, on the other hand, argue that stricter immigration policies are unnecessary and go against American values of inclusivity and diversity. They contend that immigrants contribute significantly to the economy, filling labor gaps and starting businesses that create jobs for Americans.

Furthermore, they argue that the majority of immigrants are law-abiding individuals seeking a better life for themselves and their families, and should not be punished for the actions of a few. They also point out that the U.S. has a long history of welcoming immigrants and that stricter policies would tarnish the country’s reputation as a land of opportunity.

In recent years, the Trump administration has taken steps to prioritize stricter immigration policies. This includes implementing the “zero tolerance” policy, which resulted in the separation of families at the border, as well as the construction of a border wall. These actions have been met with both praise and criticism, highlighting the deep divide on this issue.

As the 2024 election approaches, it is clear that immigration will continue to be a key topic of discussion, with the outcome potentially shaping the future of U.S. immigration policies.

What good does a stricter immigration policy do if the Southern boarder is wide open?

First they need to get back to our real immigration policies where people can’t enter until properly vetted. Anything else is criminal and those allowing it are aiding and abetting criminals and need serious jail time.

We do need to stop the invasion at the southern and northern borders.
Our existing immigration policies we were using before the borderline invasion was and should always be the same! We should always welcome immigration that has been vetted

The biggest enemy our country faces is the influx of illegals entering the country from the southern border, and the refusal of the current administration to do anything about it, in fact, the illegals are welcomed (VP Harris, who is in charge of the southern border, stands there, shaking hands and offering copies of her book “The Truths We Hold” which is nothing but liberal propaganda.)
