Radical House Democrat Refuses to Answer Simple Question on Deportations

  • Americans voted for border security — Congress must respect the rule of law

A House Democrat from New Jersey is making headlines for all the wrong reasons. When asked a straightforward question about immigration enforcement, Rep. Analilia Mejia couldn’t give a straight answer.

The question was simple: Is it right for Immigration and Customs Enforcement to remove someone who has a final deportation order? It’s a yes-or-no question about following the law. But Mejia dodged.

This isn’t just political theater. This is about whether elected officials believe in the rule of law or open borders. A deportation order isn’t issued lightly — it comes after due process, hearings, and judicial review. When someone receives a final order, it means a judge determined they have no legal right to remain in the United States.

Mejia’s refusal to answer reveals the uncomfortable truth about the modern Democratic Party. They campaign on compassion and fairness, but they won’t defend the basic principle that laws must be enforced. If a deportation order doesn’t matter, what does?

The American people have been clear. They want secure borders, enforced immigration laws, and respect for citizenship. They don’t want sanctuary cities protecting criminals or politicians who undermine ICE agents risking their lives to protect communities.

Every country on Earth enforces its borders. Every nation deports people who enter illegally and lose their legal cases. This isn’t controversial — it’s common sense. But the progressive wing of Congress treats border enforcement like a moral crisis instead of a constitutional duty.

Mejia represents a district that deserves honest answers, not evasive non-responses. Voters have a right to know where their representative stands on fundamental questions of sovereignty and law. Does she believe ICE should enforce court orders or not?

The silence speaks volumes. When Democrats can’t answer basic questions about immigration enforcement, it’s because they know their real position — open borders, no consequences, ignore the courts — is deeply unpopular with the American people.

This dodge isn’t an isolated incident. It’s part of a larger pattern where the left refuses to admit what their policies actually mean. They won’t say “abolish ICE” out loud anymore, but they’ll block funding, criticize enforcement, and now refuse to say deportation orders should be followed.

The Constitution is clear. Congress makes immigration law. The executive branch enforces it. The courts adjudicate cases. When all three branches agree someone must leave, that decision must be respected. Anything less is lawlessness.

It’s time to push back.
