Texas Executes Man Who Murdered Three During 2005 Home Invasion

Texas carried out the execution of LeJames Norman Wednesday evening at the Huntsville state penitentiary for the 2005 triple murder committed during a home invasion robbery.

Norman, 40, offered no final words when the warden asked if he wished to speak.

“Norman simply shook his head before he was put to death by lethal injection,” court officials reported.

Norman and accomplice Ker’Sean Ramey broke into the Edna home of Samuel Roberts, Tiffani Peacock and Celso Lopez intending to steal cocaine that was never found.

The intruders shot the three residents to death in cold blood.

“Norman was arrested about five months after the murders while trying to cross back into the United States from Mexico,” authorities stated.

He pleaded guilty to capital murder, leaving a jury to decide his sentence.

The Supreme Court denied a final appeal from Norman’s lawyers just hours before the execution.

Norman’s sister, two of his children and a friend watched from an adjacent room as he received a lethal dose of pentobarbital.

“Norman took a couple of deep breaths, appeared to yawn and made several snoring sounds. He then stopped moving,” witnesses said.

A physician pronounced him dead at 6:44 p.m.

No family members of the victims attended the execution.

Norman was the fifth Texas inmate put to death this year.
