Florida’s Palm Beach Airport Gets a Trump Tribute
Governor Ron DeSantis has signed legislation officially renaming Palm Beach International Airport as Donald J. Trump International Airport. The move honors the former president in the county where he has made his primary residence.
The legislation passed through both the Florida House and Senate with overwhelming Republican support earlier this year. Pending FAA clearance, the official name change is scheduled to take effect on July 1.
Liberty Check
- Florida maintains the constitutional authority to designate commercial landmarks in honor of transformational American leaders.
- President Trump’s residence at Mar-a-Lago has turned Palm Beach into a focal point for the conservative movement.
- The Trump Organization confirmed that no royalties or licensing fees will be charged for the use of the president’s name.
The Republican Party of Florida celebrated the signing as a landmark tribute to a leader who has fought for the American people. The airport serves over 8 million passengers annually, standing as a gateway to the Sunshine State.
“Florida is honored to be home to this landmark tribute to President Trump.”
Lawmakers emphasized that the designation reflects the president’s deep ties to the local community and his lasting impact on the state. This action serves as a bold rejection of those who seek to erase his legacy from the public square.
The Constitution must be defended.
