Across college campuses nationwide, a disturbing trend is re-emerging: radical, pro-Hamas activism that mirrors the violent Antifa protests of previous years. This resurgence is not just a coincidence; it’s a deliberate, structured movement that escalates quickly, often creating environments where antisemitism can thrive unchecked.
At Columbia University, activists forcibly entered Hamilton Hall, displaying banners with messages like “Glory to the martyrs” and “Tortuguita lives, the fight continues.” Similarly, at Portland State University, students barricaded themselves in the Millar Library, planning an extended occupation. Meanwhile, at UCLA, a Jewish student was blocked from his normal route to class by masked activists wielding metal pipes and umbrellas—tactics reminiscent of Antifa’s modus operandi.
These activists, often clad in black bloc attire or hiding behind COVID-era masks, are backed by radical politicians like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib. This movement has all the characteristics of Antifa activism, from aggressive confrontations with police to the occupation of public spaces.
The response from law enforcement thus far has been largely ineffective, echoing past mistakes where initial arrests did little to curb the momentum of protests. Columbia University’s administration, for example, has failed to adequately address or deter these incidents, leading to the occupation of Hamilton Hall. Only when police were finally allowed to act decisively was the encampment cleared, but the damage had already been done.
Unlike during the BLM riots, mainstream media and Democrat politicians are acknowledging the violence this time around. Public awareness is growing, revealing the true nature of these radical movements. However, the activists are far from defeated; they may just be getting started.
While some activists aim to become social justice martyrs, bolstered by their privileged backgrounds and connections, others use their arrests to amplify claims of victimhood. These activists are often linked to larger, well-organized groups like Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and various Antifa-affiliated organizations, which have adeptly used platforms like X, Facebook, and Instagram to mobilize quickly and spread propaganda.
Administrators, conservative politicians, and police chiefs in states like Texas and Florida have demonstrated effective strategies to counter these movements: enforce the rules firmly and consistently. This approach not only disrupts the activists’ plans but also reassures Jewish students that they are supported and protected.
Public officials and media must also play a role in labeling these domestic terrorists clearly, just as January 6 defendants were named. The anonymity provided by masks should not shield these agitators from scrutiny. Exposing these individuals could deter future recruits from joining the next radical cause.
It’s crucial to also celebrate the courage of college students who have stood against antisemitism and anti-American actions. At UNC Chapel Hill, patriotic students replaced a Palestinian flag with the American flag, and Jewish fraternity members at Arizona State University dismantled a “Gaza Solidarity Encampment.”
Leniency towards these agitators only emboldens them. Universities and law enforcement must act decisively to prevent these radical movements from gaining further ground. Failing to do so sets a dangerous precedent that could lead to more chaos and violence on our campuses.

They need to be arrested and serve time and never allowed back on college campuses. It’s a sad day when our politicians want stand up for what is right. One of these days its going to effect their families and the bit wilk by e a different song.

The problem is that we have allowed this lawless behavior to go on for far too long. They hurt an innocent person and spend 90 days in jail. Then they commit another serious crime and go to the penitentiary. While they are there, they join a prison gang and continue to spread their violent ways, with no remorse at all. You want to stop this? Think back to the 1800s, when judges hung a criminal for stealing a horse. One well-placed lead round will stop their criminal nature permanently (and the law-abiding population) and rid society of another criminal mouth to feed, clothe, and keep behind bars.

What about the GOP as a terrorist organization? Immunity is good says Mitch. What? How can a president have total immunity to do whatever he wants? Focus on the big things, and don’t worry about Antifa

I think when it comes to hate crimes the Democrats are the ones that should be considered a terrorist organization. Look at all the lawlessness in Democratic states and how it effects the local people. Given President immunity is not a ticket to do whatever they want and that statement that it is justifies my statement above about Democrats being considered a terrorist organization. They have spread hatred throughout this Country and are allowing illegal immigrants into it and that includes terrorist groups from different parts of the World. That is going to hurt us in the long run when these terrorist groups ban together later on in months to come. Then you have a President who pushes for the LGBTQ agenda that is an abomination on everyday life in America. The Republicans need to ban together and get this Country back where it should be where morality exists on a daily basis.

I’m not a Republican but at least they didn’t have a Vice President that raised bail funds for protesters who rioted, burned, destroyed, took city blocks hostage, etc. 574 riots…yep, that’s right. But, they only cared about the ONE on Jan. 6….You need to look back at what really happened. What you stated is hogwash. It’s shameful…

The POTUS must have immunity to do what he has to do, its part of his job or every POTUS who sends troops to where ever and an enemy is killed can be called a killer. NO doubt you have never done anything for your country and expect your country to do everything for you.

Remember it was Kamala Harris the encouraged people to donate to the “get out of jail” fund to help Antifa members in Minneapolis pay their bail so the rioters could go back to the riots. Most of the Harris for VP donated to that fund. Many of the Biden for president also co tribute to that bail fund for rioters.
