Radical Democrat Senate Hopeful Refuses to Disavow Muslim Brotherhood Ties

  • Democrat Senate candidate refuses to reject Muslim Brotherhood connections
  • Compares religious scrutiny to historic Catholic presidential concerns
  • Radical left continues to shield foreign influence from constitutional oversight

Democrat Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed dodged direct questions about his ties to the Muslim Brotherhood during a recent interview, instead comparing the legitimate scrutiny of his faith and allegiances to the 1960 presidential campaign of John F. Kennedy.

When pressed on whether he would disavow the Muslim Brotherhood, El-Sayed chose deflection over clarity, invoking JFK’s historic Catholic candidacy as if legitimate questions about foreign influence and constitutional loyalty were somehow equivalent to concerns over papal authority in the 1960s.

“I think this is a very similar line of questioning to what John F. Kennedy faced as the first Catholic president,” El-Sayed stated when confronted about his connections to the organization designated as a terrorist group by multiple nations.

Conservative critics immediately pointed out the false equivalence, noting that JFK faced questions about loyalty to the Vatican while El-Sayed faces questions about ties to an Islamist organization with documented connections to terrorism and anti-American ideology.

The comparison falls apart under examination, as the Muslim Brotherhood’s stated goals include the establishment of Islamic law and the rejection of Western democratic principles, unlike the historical concerns about Catholic influence which proved unfounded.

El-Sayed’s reluctance to clearly reject the Muslim Brotherhood raises serious questions about his fitness for public office and his commitment to American constitutional principles over foreign ideological movements.

The Constitution must be defended.
