Dems’ War Powers Hypocrisy: Trump vs. Obama Exposed
Liberty Check
- Obama launched 7 months of Libya airstrikes without Congress, leading to Gaddafi’s fall.
- Democrats like Pelosi defended it as “limited,” now decry Trump’s defensive Iran action.
- Constitution demands congressional authorization for hostilities, exposing inconsistent power grabs.
Democratic leaders condemn President Trump’s military strikes on Iran for lacking congressional approval, contrasting their defense of Barack Obama’s unauthorized Libya bombing.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries dodged questions on the double standard, insisting Libya’s circumstances differed vastly from Iran’s.
“Well, obviously Libya and the circumstances connected to that were very different from the circumstances that we face in Iran right now,” Jeffries responded.
Pelosi’s office claims Trump’s Iran strikes spark
“broad, escalating war,”
unlike Libya’s NATO campaign of thousands of missions.
Trump’s Operation Epic Fury targeted imminent Iranian threats to U.S. security, including missiles and nuclear development.
Constitutional conservatives must call out this hypocrisy to restore checks on executive overreach and protect our republic.
The Constitution must be defended.
