State authorities revealed that more than 6,000 noncitizens were mistakenly added to New Jersey’s voter rolls through what they described as a “system error.” Even more concerning, officials estimate that hundreds of these improperly registered individuals actually cast ballots in elections.

This isn’t just a bureaucratic mistake — it represents a fundamental breach of election security in one of America’s bluest states. Every illegal vote dilutes the voice of legitimate American citizens and undermines confidence in our electoral process.

The discovery raises urgent questions about how many other states might have similar problems lurking in their voter registration systems. If New Jersey’s officials only discovered this error now, how long has it been going on? And what safeguards, if any, prevented these noncitizen votes from being detected before they were cast?

For years, Democrats have dismissed concerns about election integrity as conspiracy theories while blocking common-sense reforms like voter ID requirements. They’ve claimed that noncitizen voting is virtually nonexistent and that additional verification measures are unnecessary “voter suppression.”

Yet here we have documented proof that thousands of ineligible individuals were on the voter rolls in just one state. The left’s refusal to acknowledge these vulnerabilities puts our entire election system at risk.

True election security requires robust verification systems, regular audits of voter rolls, and accountability when errors occur. American citizens deserve to know that only eligible voters are participating in our elections and that their votes aren’t being cancelled out by those who have no legal right to cast a ballot.
