In a turn of events that should shake the foundations of free speech in America, the Supreme Court has chosen not to hear an appeal from Black Lives Matter organizer, Deray Mckesson. Mckesson was held accountable by a lower court for injuries sustained by an unnamed Baton Rouge police officer during a protest he orchestrated in 2016.
This decision raises a poignant question: Should Black Lives Matter leaders be held accountable for the violent protests they incite?
The officer, known only as “John Doe,” was a victim of violence when a “rock-like” object was hurled at him during the protest, causing severe injuries. Doe’s argument was simple: Mckesson “should have known” the protest would turn violent, as previous similar events had.
The lawyers for the officer painted a grim picture of the pattern that had been set by BLM protests. Activists fly into a town, block a highway, engage the police, then chaos ensues – looting, property damage, injuries to innocent bystanders and the brave officers trying to maintain order.
The Fifth Circuit had determined that the case could proceed because Doe had successfully alleged that Mckesson created unreasonably dangerous conditions and “incited” violence.
However, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), representing McKesson, argues this infringes on his First Amendment rights. They contend that the lower court’s decision will “chill classic First Amendment-protected activity nationwide.”
With the Supreme Court’s decision to not take the case, one wonders: Are we moving toward a society where inciting violence and chaos is considered protected speech? Is this truly the America we want to live in?

If the organization was “White Lives Matter” and had misused funds and created violence, looting, and destruction, they would be in jail and forced out of existance. No such thing as “White Priveledge,” and never was. Case in point-when did the “Rev” Al Sharpton pay HIS taxes?

BLM AND ANTIFA ARE RACIST organizations. They are not protesters but rather violent criminals! They have raked in billions of dollars which their leaders have spent on themselves to buy fancy cars and houses. No noticeable contributions went to the Black communities that they PRETEND to support! They just use their self righteous nonsense to justify destroying our country for their own profit and power.

I live in a small town.When a black kid hung himself the family could not receive life insurance on him so they told Jessi Jackson that he was hung by whites.jessi Jackson came to town went to every black Church in and around the area and drummed up trouble and alot of donations to the cause.He took the black church’s for all they could rack scrape and barrow then LEFT none of that money hope the family bury their son but JESSI JACKSON MADE OF WITH THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS if that sounds like a reverend or a preacher I wouldn’t want anything he’s offering .A they are after is spreading hate and scamming good people out of their hard earned money

It sometimes seems to many white folks I’m sure the black people solve their issues with violence. It makes it tough to take this “Black lives matter” seriously. It seems to only matter when the death comes at the hands of a police officer, especially when the officer is white. If you expect us to take it seriously do something to make it matter within your own communities. I believe all lives matter, all the time.

BLM is a Marxist/communist domestic terrorist organization! It’s that simple! None of them were put in jail like the J6ers were! In fact, many of them helped incite violence at the patriot J6 rally! They were embedded in the crowd and pretended to be Trump supporters! Violence and chaos IS the brand of Antifa – BLM and now add still another domestic terrorist group – the Pro-Hamas/Palestinian rioters! All 3 of these terrorist groups hate America and would like to see our once great nation destroyed through fire and brimstone! They’ll be NO fight back because the police have been de-funded! Let’s face the truth right now. BLM is absolutely nothing more than a legalized terrorist organization. Everything thing the do or try to accomplish hints on their ability to create terror. This is a fact and no one can justifiably argue it. Simply because they are black and no other reason they believe that any action they take, no matter how illegal, is ok. It’s not. The color of their skin should in no way justify rioting, destroying private property, burning people’s home and businesses. It certainly doesn’t justify hurting another individual. Being black shouldn’t buy you a free for all card to murder and destroy society. No matter what the ACLU says. Crimes should be prosecuted no matter your skin color.

Black lives DO matter – just not one iota more than the lives of anyone else. No targeting but no special treatment, either. 14th Amendment, baby…
