Flat tax! How about we change how these politicians earn their salary? What is needed is a pay for cutting or Balance the deficit ceiling! That job was NOT to be a career! But part time! We have watched democrats push bills through that had NOTHING TO DO WITH ECONOMY! But helping companies that PUT MONEY INTO THEIR CAMPAIGN FUNDS! OR BANK ACCOUNT! Only to make TAXPAYERS MONEY PAY FOR IT! Something that need to be outlawed for politicians to do! Nobody should force other to pay for PLANNED PARENTHOOD! Christians should not want their TAXPAYERS money going to an organization that MURDERED INNOCENT BABY! Or funding a special building in a politicians name! Neither has anything to do with ECONOMY! So these Congress need a salary that pays them for doing thing that benefit the country NOT A BUSINESS! So everyone else is benefit as well! The debts is NOW! NOT 20 YEARS FROM NOW!Why adding to it? CUT IT OR LOSE YOUR SALARY! Go home and back to work in private sector.

The entire tax code has been for many years, used to encourage preferred behavior and discourage unwanted behavior according to the agendas and preferences of a select few, and this is antithetical to the ideals of true liberty.

      We need the Fair Tax

Exactly. For those who are ignorant, It is the only tax where the poor pay no taxes. The taxes they pay for purchasing new items are rebated monthly based on family size. One other benifit will be the explosion of our economy because our corporations will not pay income taxes, that are passed on to consumers in the price of goods/services anyway. This means we can produce things cheaper in country than other countries that still have corporate taxes, More production means more jobs etc. Need to learn more? The boof “The Fair Tax” is still under $10 in paperback.

Flat Tax – Simplicity, Fairest Tax Structure, No Deductibles, This eliminates special interest and most government corruption, and will necessitate a massive reduction in IRS personal. Tax can start at a level that shelters the lowest income earners. I’m guessing between $30,000 to $40,000 per annum. Tax starting point can only be adjusted if tied to a percentage of inflation. Congress can’t adjust Tax Starting Point for any other reason without a 2/3 voting majority.

Founding Fathers never intended to tax income as proven by such not being in the original US Constitution. Taxing income demotivates people from increasing their income & is also antithetical to the ideals of true liberty…we need to remove the 16th Amendment & get back to funding government via a consumption tax only. Consumption tax provides the flexibility of choice…whether I want to buy or not. Fairtax is a consumption tax idea…

A federal sales tax would be more fair. It would catch ALL income as it is spent.

The same rate for everyone. No deductions, just a straight percentage of 15% for every American that earns a salary or service related income. Those living on Social Security only, would be free of retaxing their earnings.

Our present federal tax laws have far too many loopholes that are designed for those with higher incomes to lower their payments and allow far too many citizens to pay absolutely nothing–the end result being, the middle income citizens end up paying the majority of all taxes collected. This puts an unfair burden on one segment of the population. Now, the Biden* administration is going after the limited funds of our senior citizens in an effort to squeeze as much from them as possible and ruin their retirement. I realize the federal government needs funds to function; but considering their total lack of fiduciary responsibility, we need to totally revamp the entire system so it is equitable for everyone. Isn’t that what the progressive socialist Democrats are always whining about–equity? So, either a flat tax or a national sales tax would bring more equity to the entire “tax” problem from which the middle class has been suffering for decades.

Flat rate is the only way income tax passes the 14th Amendment guarantee of “Equal Protection”. Every taxpayer gets the same personal and per-child deductions, (which help the poor more than they do the wealthy, even though they are the same amounts for both,) and, of course, your Federal deductions on the amount of State & Local Income Tax paid. Home heating/cooling credits based on an average-sized home and adjusted regionally using a prior 3-years average to factor the deduction, (again providing “same for all but of greater benefit to the poor”). Sliding-scale National Sales Tax that starts out at 1% and rises at set price levels to a max of 10%. Eliminate all double-dipping like Inheritance Tax or or taxing a tax (like paying sales tax on the full price of a pack of cigarettes when half of that price already consists of excise [sin] taxes).

In our moderate household, the 2022 FEDERAL INCOME TAX required ELEVEN (count them, ELEVEN ) different forms and schedules. It is enough to drive a person to drink. I have complained bitterly to both my representative and both senators. They couldn’t care less because they don’t prepare their own income-tax returns themselves.
Too much of our hard-earned tax money supports these jokers. You know they are clueless because the House of Representatives took weeks to select a SPEAKER.
