Two-time Academy Award winner Sean Penn believes that “cowardly genes” have led to American men becoming “feminized.”
“I am in the club that believes that men in American culture have become wildly feminized,” the actor said in an interview with the UK’s i News.
“I don’t think that being a brute or having insensitivity or disrespect for women is anything to do with masculinity, or ever did. But I don’t think that [in order] to be fair to women, we should become them.”
The Mystic River star expounded on those comments during an interview with The Independent.
“I think that men have, in my view, become quite feminized,” he reiterated.
“I have these very strong women in my life who do not take masculinity as a sign of oppression toward them. There are a lot of, I think, cowardly genes that lead to people surrendering their jeans and putting on a skirt.”

Yes, masculinity has been increasing for over the past 3 to 4 generations. Most to blame is the many families who lack a full time father, divorce rates, and women who choose to be single mothers.

Well, I finally see eye to eye with Spicoli! Knock off the weed and Modern Chemistry and out pops a realist! I, personally have abstained from drugs! Yes, weed is a narcotic! From what I see, getting stupid makes you a candidate for testosterone deficiency! That’s why they call it getting stupid!
