Democrat Senator Admits to Targeting Young Americans Who Serve Trump

- Slotkin openly admits she wants to use prosecution threats to scare young conservatives away from public service
- Democrats continue to weaponize government against citizens who disagree with them
- The Constitution protects political participation, not radical schemes to punish dissent
Senator Elissa Slotkin defended her call for targeting young Americans who work in the Trump administration, dismissing criticism as “manufactured outrage” during interviews Monday.
The Michigan Democrat first drew fire after footage from a University of Chicago event showed her declaring she wants to send a “deterrence message” to young people considering government jobs under President Trump. She said she wants graduates to worry that serving their country might “buy myself a ton of problems that I don’t want.”
“Yeah, well, look, that’s manufactured outrage,” Slotkin told CNN when confronted by Sen. Mike Lee’s charge that it was “absolutely disgraceful” to threaten Americans for serving their nation.
Slotkin doubled down, claiming her goal was simply to deter “illegal activity.” Yet her own words made clear the target was political participation itself, not law-breaking.
“That’s a hell of a statement. Slotkin said that there should be prosecutions in order to scare people from going into politics. That’s a Democrat and that’s what they do. That’s all they’re good at — and you know what? That’s why they’re getting their a–es kicked,” President Trump responded.
Slotkin tried to pivot during a separate interview, suggesting the backlash stemmed from her gender rather than the substance of her threat. She claimed Republicans were upset because a woman was calling out “corruption.”
The message was unmistakable: Democrats intend to punish political opponents through the legal system to keep conservatives out of government. This is not law enforcement. It is an attempt to rig the system by intimidation.
