It’s not like anyone works at Walmart these days, anyway. They’ve eliminated cashiers – making you do it yourself – there’s never anyone to be found when you have a question, they’re continuing to screw us night-owls by closing at 11PM. You’ve got the one or two people at the customer service counter, a half-dozen stockers blocking all the isles with parked pallets, one or two people watching the self-checkout area, the pharmacy staff, the electronics counter guy, the two people who get the carts from the parking lot, and one or two greeters – oh, and the order-pickers for those who order online but they won’t even talk to in-store customers. And the two garden center people in the summer. How is AI gonna put them out of work?
