SILENCED: Iran War Critic Says Media Weaponized Immigration Against Him
Liberty Check
- Prominent foreign policy analyst claims coordinated media hit piece targeted him with deportation threats
- Critics accuse establishment press of weaponizing immigration enforcement to silence dissent
- Raises constitutional concerns about First Amendment rights under attack by media-government alliance
A well-known critic of military intervention in Iran is speaking out after what he describes as a calculated media assassination attempt designed to have him deported from the United States. The incident raises serious questions about how the establishment press weaponizes government agencies against voices that challenge the foreign policy consensus.
The analyst, who has built a reputation for opposing hawkish Middle East policy, says the coordinated attack was designed specifically to silence his commentary on Iran. According to his account, media outlets didn’t just criticize his views — they actively worked to paint him as a deportation target.
I have fought the neocons and warmongers in Washington for more than 25 years. Throughout, they have tried to silence, discredit, slander, and cancel me. Only recently, however, have they tried to deport me.
At least, that appears to have been the aim of a hit piece in Bari… pic.twitter.com/SbhNJ6XdDH

“They tried to silence, discredit, slander, and cancel me,” he stated, describing what he views as a deliberate campaign to destroy his platform and livelihood.
The case highlights a disturbing pattern where mainstream media outlets appear to coordinate with government enforcement mechanisms to eliminate dissenting voices. Rather than engage with his arguments on the merits, critics allegedly chose character assassination and threats to his immigration status.
Conservative media observers note this tactic has become increasingly common. When the establishment can’t win on the facts, they target the messenger — especially when that messenger challenges the military-industrial complex’s preferred narratives.
The timing of the hit piece, coinciding with renewed debate over Iran policy, raises additional red flags. Foreign policy critics across the political spectrum have warned that establishment voices in both parties push for interventionist policies that serve special interests rather than American national security.
Free speech advocates warn that using immigration enforcement as a cudgel against lawful commentary sets a dangerous precedent. If journalists and pundits can mobilize deportation threats against those who challenge the foreign policy establishment, the First Amendment means little.
The incident also exposes the hypocrisy of media outlets that claim to champion immigrant rights while simultaneously weaponizing immigration status against critics they want silenced. Apparently, protection only extends to those who toe the approved ideological line.
Questions remain about whether government officials coordinated with media outlets in this case. If evidence emerges of collusion between press and enforcement agencies to target protected speech, it would represent a serious constitutional violation.
The analyst’s experience serves as a warning shot to anyone who dares challenge establishment orthodoxy on foreign policy. Speak out against endless wars, and the full weight of media and government may come crashing down.
The Constitution must be defended.
