Bruce Blakeman Exposes Hochul as Mamdani’s Puppet at Campaign Rally

- Blakeman warns that Democratic Party leadership in New York is now openly driven by socialist and anti-American priorities

Republican New York gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman delivered a blunt message at a campaign rally in Yorktown Heights, calling out Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul for aligning herself with New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
Blakeman accused Hochul of embracing the democratic socialist agenda while ignoring rising crime and illegal immigration.
“Kathy Hochul, she was out campaigning with Mamdani this week,” Blakeman said, according to the New York Post. “And I say that’s great.”
“Please take him everywhere you go, Kathy, because I want to remind people that this un-American, antisemite, anti-Christian mayor is running the Democratic Party and Kathy Hochul is nothing more than his puppet,” he continued.
Hochul has appeared alongside Mamdani at recent events, including a rally in Brooklyn, as democratic socialists expand their influence in New York politics.
Candidates aligned with Mamdani and the democratic socialist movement have notched significant victories in congressional primaries, unseating Democratic incumbents.
Blakeman has repeatedly criticized both Hochul and Mamdani for failing to address public safety concerns, calling Hochul the most pro-criminal governor in recent memory.
During a campaign stop on the New York City subway earlier this month, Blakeman highlighted the dangers facing commuters under current leadership.
Mamdani has pushed back, accusing Blakeman of bigotry and racism following a recent debate between Blakeman and Hochul.
“I think the governor did a good job,” Mamdani told reporters. “And I’ll never fault someone for not being able to catch all of it because that is a fool’s errand when it comes to Bruce Blakeman.”
Hochul and Mamdani have focused their joint appearances on affordability and child care policies while downplaying concerns over crime and immigration enforcement.
It’s time to push back.
