A bombshell video has emerged showing several Democratic Socialists of America-backed politicians participating in an online rally where speakers openly lamented the weakening of Iran’s ability to bankroll terrorist organizations.
Pro-Israel research group Canary Mission released the damning footage Monday, revealing the extent to which radical leftist elements have infiltrated American politics. The video captures DSA-aligned politicians joining a virtual gathering where participants expressed concern that neutralizing Iran’s power would cut off crucial funding streams to Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Iranian-backed Houthi militants.
The shocking display lays bare the anti-American ideology driving certain factions of the progressive movement. While most Americans celebrate efforts to combat state-sponsored terrorism, these far-left politicians appeared alongside speakers mourning the prospect of Iran losing its capacity to finance violence against Israel and destabilize the Middle East.
Iran has long served as the primary financial backer of terrorist organizations throughout the region, funneling billions of dollars to groups committed to destroying Israel and attacking American interests. Hamas, responsible for countless suicide bombings and rocket attacks on Israeli civilians, receives substantial Iranian support. Hezbollah, designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S. government, operates as Iran’s proxy army in Lebanon and Syria.
The Houthis, currently waging war in Yemen while threatening international shipping lanes, similarly depend on Iranian weapons and funding to sustain their operations.
That elected officials would participate in a rally expressing sympathy for Iran’s terror-funding apparatus raises serious questions about their loyalties and judgment. The Democratic Socialists of America has increasingly aligned itself with anti-Israel positions, often crossing the line into supporting groups and regimes hostile to American interests.
Canary Mission has built a reputation for documenting antisemitism and extremism within activist circles, particularly on college campuses and in progressive political organizations. Their latest revelation provides concrete evidence of how deeply radical ideology has penetrated certain corners of the Democratic Party.
The video serves as a wake-up call for voters who may not realize the extreme positions held by some candidates running under progressive banners. Supporting Iran’s ability to fund terrorism isn’t progressive—it’s dangerous, un-American, and fundamentally at odds with our national security interests.
Americans deserve better.
